Design Engineer
We are looking for a Design Engineer to lead the design and development of industrial equipment, including blenders, mixers, mills, and vessels. This role will focus on creating ASME-compliant systems tailored to client specifications for various mixing, blending, and particle reduction needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Design & Engineering: Design and select equipment to meet project specifications, focusing on efficiency and durability. Create detailed 3D models, engineering calculations, and blueprints, including fabrication and assembly instructions.
- Project Management: Act as the primary engineering contact for client projects, ensuring clear communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Innovation & Development: Improve design reliability and explore new product ideas. Collaborate with specialized engineers to ensure compliance and performance testing aligns with project needs.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with external suppliers on part development, ensuring adherence to ASME standards and customer specifications. Oversee critical inspections and feedback sessions.
- Quality Assurance: Review and approve designs, ensuring they meet performance and customer requirements. Oversee testing and resolve design challenges as needed.
- Documentation & Support: Develop technical literature, including product documentation and training materials. Assist sales and customer service teams in understanding and recommending suitable equipment options.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; P.E. preferred.
- 5 years in mechanical design for industrial or process equipment.
- Proficient in 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ASME code compliance.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- Excellent communication and project management skills with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
